Eggs were demonized in the past due to their high cholesterol levels. Many doctors suggested that eating eggs is bad due to the cholesterol and may harm your health, but this was a common misconception which has been blown out of proportion. Eggs are one of the few ideal foods for our health – they contain protein, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and can be used in different ways.
Nowadays, doctors suggest eating 2-3 eggs every day in order to boost your health. If you want to learn more about the benefits of eating a couple eggs a day, continue reading the article below.
Reduce the risk of cancer
According to one study published in the “Breast Cancer Research” journal, eating eggs every day can reduce the risk of breast cancer by 18%. Furthermore, eggs contain a lot of amino acids, vitamins and minerals that will stabilize your estrogen levels which can sometimes be the main cause for breast cancer.

Reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases
Eggs contain up to 40 gr. of HDL (good) cholesterol which can prevent numerous cardiovascular diseases.
Experts in the past thought that eggs raise the cholesterol levels in our blood, but this isn’t true – our body regulates its own cholesterol levels, and most of the cholesterol is produced by the body itself.

Experts in the past thought that eggs raise the cholesterol levels in our blood, but this isn’t true – our body regulates its own cholesterol levels, and most of the cholesterol is produced by the body itself.
This was proven by a research conducted at the Biomedical Research Center of Louisiana. The study involved 152 overweight people who were divided into 3 groups.
The first group ate nothing for breakfast, the second had 2 eggs while the third ate a piece of bread. The results were shocking – the egg group lost 75% more weight and 35% more belly fat and there were no changes in their cholesterol levels as well.

The high content of omega-3 fatty acids in eggs can also reduce the levels of triglycerides, preventing numerous cardiovascular problems in the process.
Improve your eyesight
Eggs are perfect for our eyesight due to the high amount of vitamin A, lutein and zeaxanthin. Vitamin A is essential for our vision and for seeing in the dark as well.
On the other hand, lutein and zeaxanthin are two powerful antioxidants that can prevent free radical damage and boost your eyesight, while preventing numerous vision problems.

All the "good" things in eggs, like protein, vitamins and minerals, can also be found in fruits and vegetables. Our health can do great without cholesterol at all, and that makes the fruits and veggies perfect.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot get choline from fruit. That alone is reason enough to eat eggs daily. Good peer reviewed large scale research on choline. Eat more eggs!
DeleteYou didn't really read the article, go back and try that.
DeleteMost fruits and veggies are high in carbs which is the main cause of people being overweight. Fruits are high in sugar and some veggies are high in complex carbs. If you eat fruits and veggies it's better to eat ones high in fiber. I loving eating 3 eggs, a avocado, and some sweet pepper slices in the morning for a healthy breakfast.
DeleteNo pun intended, but your brain needs the cholesterol.....do the study before condemning the foods that are given us by the Most High.
DeleteFruit and vegetables have NEVER made anyone fat. That is an asinine statement. I was on a raw food diet for 8 months and I ate lots of fruit, raw nuts and veggies. I lost quite a bit of weight and was in the best shape of my life. Unfortunately, it was not realistic for me to maintain a raw food regimen permanently because food is such a huge part of my social interaction with family and friends. Once I incorporated cook food into my diet again, I gained some of the weight back. I truly believe that humans were meant to eat a raw plant based diet. You can NEVER get fat on a raw diet, even if you ate 5 bananas and a handfull of grapes every single day for breakfast!
DeleteEgg is called 'the reference protein' for a reason that it contains all the essential amino acids.none will get all the AA in a single fruit or veggie. And the only way is to combine them after analysing which fruit lacks which part and adding a veggie with that part. And if you still wanna argue superiority over EGG.. All the best with that salad!
ReplyDeleteWow he was NOT arguing "superiority" or anything at all.. ptsd much?
ReplyDeleteRelax, this isn’t a political comment section. He wasn’t saying “argue” as conflict, he was challenging the first commenters “argument” not picking a fight. And, he was spot on.

ReplyDeleteHelps Certain brain functions and eye sight. I've admittedly not followed up on the calcification claim. I've been taking Haritaki and you can feel the effects the next morning. Before starting this, however, I felt a pop right in the center of my head. Within a few minutes I could feel some gunk drop into my nasal cavity... I'm so sensitive now I have to sometimes forcefully screen myself from incoming impressions. But that run down of benefits sounds rather inviting. I've been eating them regularly since hearing about the calcium build up. I suppose one a day would be fine. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe do realize that eggs are chicken periods, right?
ReplyDeleteWhat's good for one person's metabolism is not necessarily good for another, there are variables far beyond even a doctor's knowledge. Remember the old adage "Moderation is the key"? Extremes are sometimes necessary in areas of the world where there are no choices. The millions in starvation care not about your diet if they can just get a little to satisfy their hunger. Of course fruits and veggies are good for you,and just like nuts are "pre-tree" so eggs are "pre-chicken" - they are NOT chicken. A good dose of common sense is good for us all (even though "common sense" is not very "common" anymore!)
ReplyDelete"Extremes are sometimes necessary in areas of the world where there are no choices." Good one and it might appear some isolated tribes thrive on their limited diets. Life feeds on pre-life... doh. I bought some eggs.
ReplyDeletedoctor suggest me to eat 2 eggs a day when i went for hair fall solutions so it will work for hair loss too
